Seal

So, as Propheseized, I took the day off yesterday and work progressed on the second Gates of Heaven album, "Sea Hell."

We had done six skeletons on June 15/16. I did two shortly thereafter. We worked yesterday from about 3 pm until, well, approximately 10:30 in the morning.

Zack passed out before that circa 9:00--not before he sang a crazy verse for what will probably be the most likely single candidate, which I beefed up with my own screaming/warbling and then I went to sleep...

...for approx. 3 hours, whereafter I was awoken by the DREAMSHATTERER (fittingly) whose super awesome Krautblues textures I have the honor of recording.

So there are ten songs. I would say half of them are more than half done. Not shoe tabby right?

More TK. Art/stuff. Songs too. Now I have to go to sleep.

Working Forks Weekends

Whoo! It's been a long time. I'm off work today so pardon me if I don't update my Twitter update with a short description of what I'm doing.

What am I doing? Observing a nexus. Maybe nexi. There may be something called a trexus that I'm not even aware of, I'm just shooting off at the hip.

So what's going up? A lot of its. First of all, I have a hard drive that I can just plug right into my TV, which allows me to watch a lot of hilarious shows, that I love.

Also, Zachary Mexico should be on his way out to D'Island to finish up the second Gates of Heaven album, "Sea Hell." Greg Petre is simultaneously polishing up the album art, which is looking SICK.

Also? "Mrs. Equitone" is in the process of being mastered. It was supposed to be back earlier this week, but now it looks like next week. We'll see--it might have to go back and forth a bit too. Then who knows when it might come out. But you'll hear it/about it.

Thirdingly, I've started work on the four albums that will come out in the last four months of this year. Codenamed 7,8,9, and 10, they will most likely be called this now.

Business Decisions - Built in a formatted structure, enforced by Scrum Villa (process pending) technology

[title unknown] - Largely acoustic, non-traditional structures

[title unknown] - Sample-heavy, instrumental, out there

[title known but undivulged] - This one will be crazy. The first (and also last) sequel in the trilogy you didn't know you hated to love... until now

So here's the first song from Business Decisions, and it's called "A 2nd Thought." Enjoy!

Leave everything you own in the comments!

Graham Smith w/ Herbs - "A 2nd Thought," Business Decisions, due September 2007

51st Annual Post Awards

The Johnston and Louisa Post Awards were very nice. I received the Protzkin Honor for Outstanding Hypocritical Involvment in a Significant Work. My eyes were filled with sebaceous fluid.

I'm heading down to Harrisburg PA for the weekend. Should be a good time--organic farming and organic family.

Burning some copies of the storied "Mrs. Equitone" accordingly. Had to make a few emergency fixes last night since it has not really been "wilded" yet.

I'll post a song on Monday. Not sure what it will be.

I have to post more. You know it's true.

Coming Up (Max Tundra Variation)

The song referenced by the title of this post is really incredible.

You know what else McCartney related is incredible? A song called "Daytime Nighttime Suffering" which was basically the last Wings song EVER. PMcC actually referred to it in a recent interview as a song that he was upset didn't get more acclaim. I came across it randomly after happening across a digital Wings discography and then via the shuffle mode of my computer's built-in MP3 player.

I think I'll record a cover of it for this year's massive multi-album project... oh what?

HEY! That's an example of bold text.

I'm starting an E-MAIL LIST to announce things like shows, album releases, etc. I will also, on occasion, send out top secret songs through this organ. I may also continue posting songs on here, but I think it's important to have an e-mail organ as well.

SO, if you are interested in receiving these e-mail updates, e-mail me at smervice@gmail.com.

I'm trying to come up with a name for the list, so feel free to send suggestions as well.

You can also e-mail me with any thoughts you might have.

I might post more stuff here too that is not of a directly connected nature. The fact is, the font of info runs dry at times so I thought that would help keep it moving.

On that note, I am completely obsessed with Brass Eye. And it may not ever stop.

New album first mastering pass back in a couple of weeks! HOLY SHIT!
