Da Znaesh Maicho, Da Znaesh

Transmissions from the internet... a memorial retaling of the song "Amelia" from my album called After Mathematics.

I think this captures the essence probably better than the original by a few leaps and one bound.

As for me, I'm working on a cool music-related project today, well that and diving into Emacs.

Enjoy!

Dee Vee Dees

New profile name to deflect the haters and big up Michael Imperioli for supporting a doomed medium.

If you are in New York and you can read this message, that means it's Saturday night (except after now) and you should come see the Octagon's record release show at Pianos. $10 and it gets you the album. BEAT THAT WITH A BAT.

Didn't get any recording done this weekend, but got my Godin set up so it's playing like a dream again. I like dreams! That's where I command an army of things.

Not much to report. Kind of taking a break, though next weekend/the weekend after that will be productif, since it's the end of the recording sessions for the second Gates of Heaven, as well as the inauguration of a new project, Codename: SSB.

Also probably through some other stuff in there, pending the availability of a domain.

Have a good saddurday.

Hummeny

The M.I.A. is alright. It does grow.

Looks like we're doing some wicked practicing tonight, we'll see how that GOEZ DOWN.

I got a new computer, and I bought a really stupidly expensive bag to match it. Sad, in a sense. In another sense, rules.

I want to work on some new songs this weekend, so I think that's what I will do.

KERBEROS

I told you I would post more, though I didn't promise that I would have content. So what's on today's content list? Here's an agenda, chumps:

1. The Agonist
2. Crumbled in a Wax Paper Ball
3. Heavy Sticks

Nah I don't really have anything, but that would be great if I could generate content to match that agenda. Then I would truly be a machine.

I'm listening to the M.I.A. album, not sold yet but maybe halfway there. And I'm only on track 2.

Here is a question to think about, you can send answers but it's a pretty tough one.

1. What is the primary reason you listen to music at all? Is it out of an instinct, or obligation or drive or is it because you are expecting it to do or make you feel something?

Godliness and Creaminess

So well, it looks like "Lifcrit" (the project alluded to in the last post) may be on the back burner for a while. It seemed like a good idea at the time! Then the time came that I got another idea.

Or well, not necessarily an idea, but a bunch of different things intersected at a certain point in time (this was maybe last week) and as a result I have a new, probably overblown project to keep me busy.

I'll probably post updates here, unless I abandon it mid-stream, I guess! That seems a little impossible for this particular project, but I have learned in the past to never over- or underestimate my own capabilities w/r/t giving up.

So, what else is new? I am going to LA in September to shoot some stuff with the always-venerable DOUGGPOUND.com - I'm Your DJ (tm). He told me I had to include that in the link or he would not advertise on the site anymore.

Mrs. Equitone, the album-length jam that I dangled like a ripe carrot in front of your faces for at least 6 months, is now completely done. The mastered version is on its way to my house as we speak. Totally psyched.

Well, I'll be writing more here, although I've said that in the past, this time it is true.

New products, moratoria, and so forthicon on their way.

Futurama's Imminent Return

The GOOD NEWS at hand is that I am working on some sort of an audio programme; episodes will most likely be around 35-40 minutes in length, so you can think of them as albums! IT'S FUN!

Also, if you'd like to be included in this program in audio format, e-mail your best nonsensical culture-related monologues to smervice (HAT <| ) gmail { sss PEKK}} com. I will probably chop them up and make you sound like an ass so you know caveat donktor.

Name, logo, RSS feed URL TK. There should be at least four of them before 2007 is out.

If all bodes well, then the next album (tentatively titled BLIGHT DECISIONS) will be out in or around this year as well. We'll see! No crazy end of the year shenans, I'm doing NaNoWriMo (maybe)!

Mrs. Equitone is almost totally done, duh.

RIP John From Cincinnati!
